Rajamahendravaram: Urban police district constables of 2018 batch handed over a cheque for Rs 1.05 lakh to the family members of their batch mate M Ramesh (Nellore) through Additional Superintendent of Police G Muralikrishna at a meeting held at urban office here on Sunday.
Ramesh met with an accident at Tada check-post while on duty on January 21 this year and died on the next day. His batch mates collected the amount and handed over to his family members.
Urban District Police Officers Association president R Raghuram, secretary K Aravind Kishore, vice-president J Sai Mahesh and others were present.
