Chittoor/Kadapa: In an effort to win the Rajampet Parliamentary constituency, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has fielded D A Satyaprabha, who was sitting Chittoor MLA. She expected that Naidu will give Chittoor Assembly ticket to her once again. As an MLA, she spent her own money for certain schemes.

But, the TDP supremo felt Satyaprabha will be right candidate to contest for Rajampet Lok Sabha seat as the constituency has significant number of her community votes. The Rajampet Parliamentary constituency consists of 7 Assembly segments. They are Rajampet, Railway Kodur (SC), Rayachoti, Thamballapalle, Piler,Madanapalle and Punganur.

There are 13,62,583 voters as per the voter list of 2018 and 1,825 polling stations. According to 2011 census, the SC population is 14.02 per cent. Rajampet sitting MP PV Midhun Reddy, son of senior YSRCP leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, is contesting this time. In 2014 elections, he defeated BJP nominee Daggubati Purandeswari with a margin of 1,74,762 votes.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Saturday, Satyaprabha exuded confidence of winning the seat with comfortable majority. She is banking on development works taken up the by the TD government in its rule. She mentioned that there was tremendous positive wave for the TDP.

She alleged that YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy is destabilising the State by colluding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. She exuded confidence of TDP coming to power after the elections.

Satyaprabha stated that she has already prepared a strategy to develop all the segments falling under the Rajampet Lok Sabha seat. Her priorities if she elected as MP are providing Krishna water to 7 Assembly constituencies and improving accessibility of medical facilities to poor.
