The demolition drive set up by AP CM YS Jagan is on full swing. Revenue officers have reached the bank of Krishna river where they are sending out notices to illegal building owners about the upcoming demolition.

Vijayawada : 28 illegal houses are going to receive a demolition notice from the revenue officers along with the surveyors who are measuring the extent to which the illegal buildings have been damaging the Krishna River's water flow. CRTA officials have accompanied the officers.

The contingent has started to accumulate information regarding each construction and verifiying it with the legal documents to make for a strong case. The officers allege that the houses built have gone beyond the land they've bought and filled the river bed with sand to support the construction of houses. Not only is this a land issue but goes against the River Conservation Act as well.

Information is being collected for each house and notices are being sent out. The process is set to complete by this evening.
