Kakinada: RDO and sub divisional magistrate G Rajakumari conducted a review meet with stake holder departments on the raising day time temperatures and the measures to be initiated to meet the situation on Tuesday at RDO office. The RDO asked the RWS to initiate measures for supply of safe drinking water.

She directed the panchayat raj department authorities to take up chlorination of village water tanks. The RDO asked the DWMA authorities to restrict MG-NREGP works from 6 am to 11am. The RDO directed medical and health departments to initiate measures for prevention diarrhea in rural areas.

She also directed the medial authorities to keep sufficient stocks of ORS packets for the needs of dehydration. Representatives of RWS, medical and health, panchayat raj, DWMA and other departments were present at the meeting.
