Nellore: Special Enforcement Bureau officials seized Rs 70 lakh worth gold, silver and cash from a passenger from Tamil Nadu at Vedayapalem in city limits on Saturday.
According to officials, Kailash Kumar was travelling from Chennai and the officials conducted surprise checks when the bus was entering the district headquarters. They found Rs 60 lakh worth 2 kg of gold, Rs 6 lakh cash and 6.5 kg of silver with Kailash Kumar and seized the booty as he failed to show documents.
They booked a case and shifted him to the police station. SEB circle inspector Ashok, sub-inspector Ravindra and others participated in the raids.
