Sanitation workers of the Government General Hospital staged a dharna in front of the GGH here on Thursday, demanding that the authorities release their salaries.
Kakinada: Sanitation workers of the Government General Hospital staged a dharna in front of the GGH here on Thursday, demanding that the authorities release their salaries.
CITU city president P Veerababu alleged that the hospital authorities were not paying salaries to the sanitation staff for past three months and the staff was finding it difficult to lead a decent life.
He said that thousands of patients were visiting the GGH everyday and the sanitation personnel were rendering incredible services in the matters of cleaning the surroundings and other aspects.
Sanitation Workers Union leader Devi alleged that though they were attending sanitation duties for past several years, they were not able to get salaries before 10th of the month. She appealed to the officials to take steps for releasing their salaries without delay.
