SFI activists stage dharna at hostel in Eluru
Leaders and activists of Students Federation of India staged a dharna at Vatluru College hostel at Vatluru here on Sunday, protesting against lack of facilities and other problems.
Eluru: Leaders and activists of Students Federation of India staged a dharna at Vatluru College hostel at Vatluru here on Sunday, protesting against lack of facilities and other problems.
The agitators raised slogans against the poor maintenance of the hostel. They alleged that the students were not being served quality food. When students grill the warden, they were not replying properly, the students complained.
They said that sometimes, enough food was not made available and the students were forced to adjust without a meal. The agitators also raised the issue of non-provision of medical kit at the hostel.
Nobody cares for the health of students even if they suffer health problems. Social welfare higher officials have literally ignored the hostel maintenance, they alleged. The agitators were pacified when ASWO Gopalakrishna gave a written assurance them that their problems would be solved.
