Vijayawada: The state government's decision to implement 'No Bag Day' on every 1st and 3rd Saturday in private and corporate schools in Krishna district is a failure, alleged SFI Krishna district president N Kotababu and secretary M Someswara Rao.

They charged private and corporate school managements with not implementing the instruction of the School Education Department on 'No bag day' for students of classes from 1 to 5 on 1st and 3rd Saturdays.

They alleged that mandal and district level education officers are not showing interest to implement the 'No bag day' in the schools. They said that the authorities were completely negligent in implementing the decision of the state government, which announced to bring many revolutionary changes in the education sector during the academic year.

They demanded that the government derecognise schools that have failed to implement 'No Bag Day'. SFI leaders warned that the students would organise protests in front of the schools which will not implement the 'No bag day' from next 1st Saturday.
