Single-window clearance for rallies, meetings

Kakinada: For issue of permissions to rallies, public meetings, processions, use of vehicles and loud speaker systems and allied activity by contesting candidates, a single window system has been set up here as per the orders issued by District Election Officer and Collector Kartikeya Mishra.

ROs at assembly constituency level can also issue permissions for election campaign, the Collector said.

Communication has been sent to set up single window system at parliamentary constituency level also based on the instructions and guidelines of Election Commission.

For setting up of single window system to issue permissions to political parties and candidates in the offices of district election officer, RO and AROs of parliamentary constituencies were instructed to follow the process in strict accordance.

The political parties and the contesting candidates accordingly should get the permissions at RO-level of respective assembly constituencies, Kartikeya Mishra clarified.
