SP opens traffic counselling centre in Nellore
District SP Aishwarya Rastogi formally launched a traffic counselling centre on the premises of traffic police station here on Tuesday.
Nellore: District SP Aishwarya Rastogi formally launched a traffic counselling centre on the premises of traffic police station here on Tuesday. He said the centre is useful for providing awareness on road safety, rules of MV Act to be followed and other issues of traffic.
The SP saw a presentation on preventive measures to be taken while crossing dividers and school zone, hand signal procedures, crossing the roads and zebra crossings, understanding traffic signals and use of side mirrors without giving trouble. The SP said that accidents occur only due to small mistakes while driving vehicle or moving on the road.
Aishwarya Rastogi said that the main aim of the centre is not to penalise the violators but to educate them. He stated they would replicate these centres in sub-division and circle areas for creating awareness among the road users after validating results of the centre. Additional SP P Parameswara Reddy, Traffic DSP P Mallikarjuna Rao and Circle Inspectors were present.
