Vizianagaram: Superintendent of Police B Rajakumari on Wednesday appreciated an auto driver for handing over the jewellery bag to police which was forgotten by a passenger in the auto. The SP informed that G Gowri of Ravivalasa village in Garugubilli mandal had boarded an auto-rickshaw at Tagarapuvalasa to reach Vizianagaram recently.
While alighting auto in Vizianagaram, she forgot the jewellery bag consisting of 50 grams of ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh. But the auto driver K Srinu had handed over the bag to Vizianagaram police.
The police traced out the victim based on the clues available in the bag and handed over it to her. The SP appreciated the auto driver and felicitated him.
