Tirupati: Urban SP KKN Anburajan placed two Sub-Inspectors (SIs) under suspension on Wednesday for thrashing a constable with batons.
According to official information, SIs questioned constable Anil Kumar for attending duty after consuming liquor. After some time, heated argument arose between constable and SIs.
Unable to digest a subordinate employee revolting against them, SIs thrashed constable with lathis. On Wednesday morning, phots of the injured cop went viral on social media. On receiving information, Urban SP instructed Srikalahasti DSP to submit a preliminary enquiry report to him.
Based on the report, the SP suspended Srikalahasti II Town SI Thimmaiah and BN Kandriga SI T Obaiah. On Wednesday evening, police officials informed the media that
