Special health awareness programmes from Sept 15
West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju said that special awareness programme on health, nutritious food and physical exercises would be held from September 15 to October 2.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju said that special awareness programme on health, nutritious food and physical exercises would be held from September 15 to October 2.
He convened a meeting of Ayushman Bharat Pakhwara with district medical and health department officers, YSR Arogya Sri and ICDS here on Monday night. Speaking on the occasion, he said during this period, awareness would be created among masses on health related issues, harmful effects of tobacco and tobacco products, need for taking nutritious food, medical services extended to people and other things.
Under Fit-India campaign, the programmes begin with rallies on September 15. The Collector asked the officials to conduct yoga classes, organize drawing and elocution competitions for students on different subjects related to health and hygiene. Eye test camps would be conducted.
He asked the officials to prepare calendar of events and implement the programmes by providing extensive campaigning. The photos of organised programmes should be uploaded.
The District Collector ordered the officials to ensure 50 deliveries conducted in government hospitals during this period. The patients need not go out of the hospital to get medicines and the hospitals should keep 100 per cent medication with them.
