Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) resumed its services after 60 days in Srikakulam. Bus services has been stopped in the wake of lockdown.

Now, the buses are being operated between 7 am and 7 pm. The Srikakulam depot is at present operating 73 bus services. Services are covering all important places in three districts, such as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam

from all depots in Srikakulam district.

Bus services were also resumed from Srikakulam to Palasa, Palakonda, Battili, Nouthala Junction within the district. Services started from Srikakulam to Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.

As per the restrictions, only 20 persons are allowed in each bus. The passengers are provided with water and sanitisers. The authorities are checking Aarogya Sethu app on the mobile phones of the passengers, if they have android devices. As it was first day, response to services was poor.

Srikakulam Revenue Divisional Officer M V Ramana said the passengers can buy tickets from counters at the depot.
