Srikakulam: The YSRCP government in the state is committed to provide dispute-free lands to farmers and others, said Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram and Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das.

They launched the state government's prestigious programme "Mee Bhumi—Maa Haami" under the YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku, Bhu Raksha and Samagra Bhu Survey-2020 at Kondalakkivalasa in Polaki mandal in the district on Tuesday. Polaki mandal is native of the Deputy Chief Minister Krishna Das.

Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that disputed-free land was the dream of the farmers but it is not yet materialised in our state due to various reasons. But Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy took firm decision to solve people issues including land disputes particularly farmers in the state. "This survey of lands will be a model for across the country and other states will certainly follow AP soon," the Speaker said.

Krishna Das said that latest available technology is being used for this survey to avoid errors and tampering of records. He appealed to people to cooperate with the officials and survey teams. In total Rs 1000 crore funds allotted for the integrated survey of lands in the state and 4,500 teams have been deployed for the purpose, the Deputy CM elaborated.

In Kondalakkivalasa village, total farmlands are 314 acres and farmers are 205 in number.

Out of the total land, 169 acres are Zeroyiti lands and remaining 145 acres are government lands in the village, collector J Nivas said. Integrated survey of lands has been started after 100 years and will yield accurate results with this survey, he added.

"We will finish integrated survey of lands in 621 villages across the district in one year and after survey, digitalised documents will be given to the land owners" joint collector Sumit Kumar said. District revenue officer B Dayanidhi, RDO I Kishore and revenue officials attended.
