Support assured to thalassemia patient:Hafeez Khan
YSRCP MLA Hafeez Khan has appreciated the efforts of Spandana, a voluntary organisation, for taking care of Sandhya, who is suffering from thalassemia disease.
Kurnool: YSRCP MLA Hafeez Khan has appreciated the efforts of Spandana, a voluntary organisation, for taking care of Sandhya, who is suffering from thalassemia disease.
Speaking to media at his residence here on Wednesday, the MLA said that around 200 people are suffering from the thalassemia disease in the district.
Khan stated that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has assured to extend assistance to thalassemia patients during his padayatra. He mentioned that he will take the issue of Sandhya to the notice of Jagan Mohan Reddy for providing better treatment to her.
The MLA handed over Rs 10,000 to girl's parents which he received from a person, who had donated after coming to know about the plight of the girl through the social media. He also donated another Rs 2,500 from his side.
Chandrasekhar Reddy, representative of Spandana, has said that he will buy medicines for the patient with the donated amount. Spandana honorary president Suresh, Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) president Maddilety and others were present.
