Amaravati: The Praja Vedika issue has taken a new turn. The TDP chief and former CM N Chandrababu Naidu has written a letter to CM YS Jagan to allocate him the Praja Vedika for his official use.

To which the YSRCP government has clarified that the Praja Vedika belongs to the government and will not be given to Chandrababu.

Accordingly, the government officials have removed the belongings related to Chandrababu from the Praja Vedika.

The Praja Vedika was built Undavalli during the TDP governments regime, which was taken over by the new YSRCP government on 21 June.

On Saturday (22 June), the tables, chairs, and other furniture which belongs to Chandrababu were removed and placed outside of the Praja Vedika.

Over this, the TDP leaders and activists have expressed anger on the government and stage a protest near the Praja Vediak that they are forcibly doing this without giving any prior information.

The TDP leaders said after giving the information to Chandrababu Naidu who is on a foreign tour and later will take up the protest on the issue.

If the Praja Vedika is an illegal construction then how can the Collectors meetings will be held here, the TDP leaders questioned.

The leaders said that the government which said to demolish the illegal constructions, how can it conduct meetings in the building. Without giving the information and the time, how can they do so?

On the occasion, TDP MLC Babu Rajendra Prasad expressed that they are boiling over this issue and wanted to hold dharnas all over but there are holding up.

The Praja Vedika which is next to Chandrababu's residence, both the TDP and YSRCP has requested to allocate it for their official use.

Over this, the TDP supremo has written his first letter to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Where he asked for Praja Vediak to be declared as the residence annexe of the leader of the opposition.

It's said that at the same time the YSRCP leaders has also written a letter to the government over the Praja Vedika. However, the officials said that the Praja Vedika is the government's property.
