Amaravati: On the completion of one year rule of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as chief minister, both ruling YSRCP and opposition TDP started virtual clashes on social media by creating separate hashtags. The respective parties followers have been promoting their views. On the one hand, the YSRCP digital wing has been promoting the achievements of the government in the last one year, on the other, the TDP digital cell has been establishing the failures of the Chief Minister in the last one year.

The YSRCP has created a hashtag as #1YearForYSJaganAneNenu, whereas the TDP created another hashtag #1YearOfMassDestruction on Twitter. Both these hashtags were trending in the top five in India as thousands of people tweeting, retweeting and making comments on the government.

Minister for Forest and Energy Balineni Srinivasa Reddy tweeted that, "One year has passed since the Government of Andhra Pradesh, under the able leadership of CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy began its journey to fulfil the dreams & aspirations of the people."

TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh tweeted that, "Before the election, Jagan urged one chance by giving so many problems under the Navaratnalu before elections. After winning in the elections, he started applying conditions to the promises. Now, the one year rule was full of cheatings, cancellations and burdens on the public".

It is worth mentioning that Jagan took oath as Chief Minister on May 30, 2019, after the massive victory over the TDP with 151 MLAs.
