Rajamahendravaram: Muslim Aykya Vedika (MAV) leaders performed an abhishekam with rose flowers to the flexi of Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandra Sekhar Rao at Azad Chowk here on Tuesday.
MAV performed the abhishekam for passing resolutions against National Register of Citizenship (NRC) and CAA in Telangana assembly during its suggestions.
MAV leaders demanded Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to pass such a resolution against NRC and CAA also in the forthcoming Assembly sessions, to prove his secular credentials. They alleged that the CAA and NRC exercises were highly divisive as the BJP led NDA government wanted to divide the people on communal lines.
MAV leaders Habibullah, Ahmed Ansari, Subhan, Dr Beig, Asif and others were present on the occasion.
