Thousands of devotees witness Abhishekam at Dokiparru
Vedic pundits conducted Abhishekam to the procession idols of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the Maha Kshetram here on Saturday as part of the Brahmotsavam being organised on a massive scale under the guidance of temple trustees Puritipati Venkata Krishna Reddy and his spouse Sudha.
Dokiparru (Krishna District): Vedic pundits conducted Abhishekam to the procession idols of Lord Venkateswara Swamy at the Maha Kshetram here on Saturday as part of the Brahmotsavam being organised on a massive scale under the guidance of temple trustees Puritipati Venkata Krishna Reddy and his spouse Sudha.
Temple organisers Puritipati Veera Reddy and his spouse Vijayalakshmi performed special pujas to the presiding deity in the temple. Earlier, the procession deities were taken out in a massive procession through the main streets of Dokiparru village.
Several thousands of devotees worshipped the presiding deity in the temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Maha Kshetram.Hayagrivachary in a lengthy speech elaborated the importance of Brahmotsavam on the temple premises. Later in the evening, the music college students from Vijayawada presented Kuchipudi dance much to the delight of the audience.
