Tirupati: The utsava idols of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts were taken out in a grand procession on a well decorated float at temple Pushkarini on the fifth day of the ongoing annual float festival on Thursday evening in Tirupati.

Earlier in the day, the utsava idols were given snapana thirumanjanam. They were taken seven rounds in the Pushkarani (temple tank) and later they were taken out in a procession on the Mada streets. The artistes of TTDs HDPP and Annamacharya Project performed bhajans, Harikatha and sangeet programmes on the occasion. Sri Chinna Jeeyar, Special grade DyEO Varalakshmi, AEO Ravi Kumar Reddy, Superintendents Raj Kumar and temple inspectors Krishna Murthy and Munindra Babu and a large number of devotees participated.
