Under-construction pump house collapsed in Tirupati

Tirupati: The news of building collapse has caused panic to the people in Tirupati. The Municipal authorities are constructing a pump house near the Municipal Park here in the city.

Recently, the first-floor slab was laid. On Saturday (20 July), while the slab works on the second floor was going on and suddenly the building has collapsed.

Over the information, the officials and police have rushed to the spot and started the rescue operations. The construction coolies working on the top have jumped down to save their lives.

With this, four workers have got injuries, and another one seems to be stuck under the debris. The injured workers shifted to a nearby hospital.

It's said that the incident happened because the contractor has not maintained the standards. The complete details are yet to be known.
