UTS app beneficial for general passengers in Nellore
South Central Railway (SCR), Vijayawada Division, appealed to the rail users to download the user friendly UTS app
Nellore: South Central Railway (SCR), Vijayawada Division, appealed to the rail users to download the user friendly UTS app on mobile for purchasing unreserved tickets that avoids waiting in huge queue lines at the railway stations for the tickets.
SCR Vijayawada Division has conducted a special campaign at the Nellore railway station on Saturday. Addressing the media at Nellore railway station, Assistant Commercial Manager K Kamalakar Babu has explained the initiatives are being taken up by the SCR in order to boost the ticket sales through UTS app.
He said that the facility will reduce rush at the booking counters and a significant initiative towards green environment since it is paperless. It is an added facility to the passengers and is initially introduced in the suburban sector of the zone during the year 2016 as a pilot project. With its positive response from the rail users, the facility has been extended to the entire zone in July 2018.
