Vadarevu Vinay Chand assumes charge as Collector and District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
Visakhapatnam: Vadarevu Vinay Chand assumes charge as Collector and District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The IAS officer of the 2008 batch succeeded Katamneni Bhaskar of 2004 batch who has been appointed as the Managing Director of Sports Authority of the State.
Vinay Chand was accompanied by his family members to the Collectorate to assume charge. Speaking to the media, the new Collector said that he would take steps to develop Visakhapatnam further and ensure that the welfare schemes of the State government reach the beneficiaries.
Apart from according top priority to healthcare and education in rural areas, he said the focus will also be on the projects that aid in developing Visakhapatnam into a smart city. Further, Vinay Chand exuded confidence over completing the developmental projects.
