Visakhapatnam: Members of Forum of Legal Professionals on Tuesday demanded installation of a statue of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on the Beach Road in Visakhapatnam.
Appreciating the Central government's decision to release a postal stamp in honour of the former PM at a programme held here on Tuesday, forum president Kuppili Muralidhar said Narasimha Rao served in various capacities as a lawyer, a journalist and a Central Minister. He further said Narasimha Rao continues to be a source of inspiration for the youth.
Forum members including J Veeralakshmi, B Tulasidas, T Nagabhushanam and others participated in the programme. They demanded that a statue of Narasimha Rao be installed on the Beach Road here.
