Visakhapatnam: VIIT secures NBA accreditation
Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous) has got accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the third consecutive time
Visakhapatnam: Vignan's Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous) has got accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the third consecutive time.
Institute has received a communication from the board regarding cycle-3 accreditation under tier-II. On this occasion, Chairman of Vignan Group Lavu Rathaiah congratulated the staff and students for the achievement.
He said the accreditation is valid up to June, 2023 and added that institutions accredited by NBA will be recognised internationally and would be quite helpful for both the students and the institutions for getting good placement and research grants.
The Chairman further said the NBA accreditation is the highest recognition for a technical institute with respect to quality as per Washington Accord.
He mentioned that the expert committee visited the VIIT in the month of February, 2020 and inspected various quality measures, including quality teaching-learning, quality staff and quality research.
The VIIT has got permission for B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It has got NBA accreditation for CSE, ECE, EEE, MECH and IT branches.
Rector of the Institution V Madhusudhana Rao, Principal B. Arundhathi, and others were present at the meeting.
