With the state administration taking steps to curtail the coronavirus in the state, the LG Polymers Gas Leakage accident has become the major concern for the Andhra Pradesh government as the experts from the SISIR and NEEIR said that the impact of the Styrene Monomer gas leak would long last on the victims. However, the Industry Minister Goutham Reddy said on Tuesday that the government would pay special attention to the future health problems of the victims.

Goutham Reddy said that the government has already taken full responsibility for the health of the victims. He said that all the victims were brought under the purview of the government's YSR Aarogya Sri scheme. The Minister also asserted that the victims would be given free treatment for a lifetime, no matter what their illnesses. He said that the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who considers public welfare as the priority had ordered the removal of the styrene gas.

Gautam Reddy has revealed that the Styrene gas, which caused the accident, is being moved to South Korea on the orders of Chief Minister Jagan. All the industries that are suspected of dangers are being thoroughly examined, and adequate precautions were also taken.

The toxic gas release accident occurred on last Thursday at LG Polymers company in Visakhapatnam, which took 12 lives and hundreds of people were injured. The state government has compensated the deceased families with a sum of Rs one crore to each family.
