Vizag Lok Sabha seat to witness war between TDP and YSRCP
With the rapid growth in all the sectors, after the bifurcation of the state, Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency has emerged as one of the important Lok Sabha seat in the state.
Visakhapatnam: With the rapid growth in all the sectors, after the bifurcation of the state, Visakhapatnam parliamentary constituency has emerged as one of the important Lok Sabha seat in the state. All core Public Sector Units, Harbours, heavy industries, IT companies, Special Economic Zones, Universities, Nature blessed tourism destinations, air, road, rail and waterways, Visakhapatnam has become one of the fastest growing city in the country.
The major political parties - TDP and YSR Congress Party – have fielded strong candidates in the constituency. Late MVVS Murthi's grandson and president of GITAM M SriBharath from TDP and well-known realtor and builder MVVV Satyanarayana from YSR Congress Party are competing to win the race.
SriBharath, holds a degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette in B.S.in Industrial Engineering Class of 2010. He also completed a joint degree MBA/MA Education Class of 2016 at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA USA.
After the sudden demise of the MVVS Murthi, SriBharath took the responsibility of the GITAM University and interestingly has decided to continue in the political career on par with his grandfather MVVS Murthi. SriBharath is the second son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna. After a series of discussions within the party, the TDP high command has finally given LS ticket to SriBharath.
Meanwhile, the YSR Congress Party also deployed financially strong and noted realtor MVV Satyanarayana to this prestigious Lok Sabha seat. MVV Satyanarayana after completion of his graduation entered into the real estate business in Visakhapatnam and emerged as a successful realtor. About 2,000 employees are working in his companies. He joined in the YSR Congress Party about a year ago and continuing as party coordinator of the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat.
Surprisingly, both parties fielded the same community contestants in this LS segment. SriBharath is having a strong political backdrop. He is also the grandson of former Union Minister and BJP senior leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao. The entire TDP in the segment strongly recommended SriBharath candidature for the LS seat.
YSR Congress contestant MVV Satyanarayana, though is not having any political backdrop, for the last one year he developed politically influenced contacts with the support of the MLA contestants. With this the race between SriBharath and MVV Satyanarayana become a big fight in Visakhapatnam.
