As part of it, the Corporation is trying to rehabilitate pig rearers with alternative proposals and plans to send them far from the city. The administration is making plans to divert the drainage system by delinking with tanks and also taken up cleanliness drive in the city.

Apart from this, a massive cleaning up drive has been taken up to clean the famous Pedda Cheruvu by involving people from different communities in May. A sewage treatment plant is also established to clean the murky waters. Plantation becomes a daily activity for municipal and forest staff here. As part of this, a plant ambulance is also introduced in the town to supply plants to residents at their doorsteps. All the parks which are in pathetic condition would be revamped to attract the visitors.

The special officer is also concentrating on to regulate the traffic in city roads by taking some steps in coordination with police department. As part of this, traffic signals, high mast lights and traffic awareness sign boards have been installed at Mayuri, Balaji and Fort Junction besides taking road widening works to ease traffic congestion. Centenary Old Music College is renovated and the area around Fort is developed as a tourist attraction.

The special officer stated "It is our duty to make the city beautiful. None from other districts should state that the town is backward. We will provide all infrastructure facilities like widened roads, traffic signals, underground drainage and clean drinking water. We will work on eradication of mosquito menace. Even the public is also joining hands with us to scaleup the stature of this city."
