Volunteers role crucial: CDMA
Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) GSRKR Vijaya Kumar said that the volunteers have to play a crucial role between the government and the people who need support from the government.
Nellore: Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) GSRKR Vijaya Kumar said that the volunteers have to play a crucial role between the government and the people who need support from the government.
He addressed the volunteers at a meeting organised by the civic body here on Friday and interacted with the participants. He said one must acquaint with the services to be rendered and guidelines to be followed for serving the communities as part of their duty.
Vijay Kumar said one should be kind enough to extend their helping hand treating the activity as a noble one in which they have to feel proud of. Vijaya Kumar said thorough knowledge on the government schemes and welfare programmes would make them strong in the activity.
The experiences would go a long way in their future as this activity gives immense satisfaction and multiple experiences on how to make the people aware on programmes and how to serve them as a representative of the government, he added.
District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu wished the active participation of the volunteers in a unique system initiated by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Collector suggested them to work as a team for providing their services irrespective of various wings in the Corporation limits. Municipal Commissioner PVVS Murthy and others were present.
