Amaravati: Women electors are high in number and their participation also high in the state for both 2014 and 2019 general elections.

Out of total women voter strength of 1,98,79,421 in 2019, the total turnout of women electors is 1,57,87,759. There are 1,94,62,339 male, 1,98,79,421 female and 3,957 third gender voters in the state out of the total 3,93,45,717 in this year. The voter turnout is including 1,55,45,211 male, 1,57,87,759 female and 661 third gender voters participated in elections.

1,44,12,652 women electors exercised votes out of the total women voters of 1,84,63,770 in 2014.

When compared the present elections with previous elections, the voter turnout explains that there is much more awareness among public. More than 1 percent of polling turnout increased in 2019 when compared to 2014 general elections in the state as a whole. During 2014 the total turnout was 78.41 percent and it is 79.64 percent in 2019.

Participation of third gender also increased in 2019. In this elections, 661 third gender voters participated whereas during 2014, just 157 voters exercised.

During 2019, Prakasam district voters participated much better than any other districts in the state. The total percentage of voter turnout in Prakasam is 85.93 and they became first district to have highest participation.

Visakhapatnam remained as last district to participate in the elections, with just 71.81 percent voter turnout. These two districts including Prakasam and Visakhapatnam remained in the same positions during 2014 general elections also… Prakasam was first and Vizag was last.
