HT Aero's flying car would feature a lightweight design and it has got a folding rotor mechanism as per the report by TechCrunch. The rotor folds away in a such manner, that car can be driven on roads too. The vehicle has got a steering wheel for on ground driving as well as single lever for air mobility. When it is ready to fly, the rotors would expand for the flying car to get back up in the car. The present prototype is around 18 feet in length and the company has plans to make It shorter.

The company has demonstrated its latest innovation at the Xpeng Tech day, where it showed a very futuristic looking car driving on the road and the rotors are expanding out of the two doors to convert into a flying car.

The flying car is also believed to be capable of fully evaluating the surrounding environment as well as weather conditions, so that it can conduct safety assessment before taking off. Even before the landing, we find the vehicle system would evaluate the data, it would pick up against the driving objectives, the report added. It also uses advanced perception as well as flight control algorithms in order to detect as well as avoid obstacles while flying in the air. This flying car would also feature a varied safety feature, which includes parachutes.

Xpeng plans to begin mass-producing the flying car having HT Aero Soon, and it may be available for commercial sale by the year, 2024. The company is also planning to price the hybrid flying car much lower than RMB 1 million (1.17,35,424).
