Kumar takes charge as PowerGrid SRTS-I ED
Anoop Kumar assumed charge as Executive Director of PowerGrid, Southern Region Transmission System-I (consisting of substations & projects in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and part of Karnataka).
Hyderabad: Anoop Kumar assumed charge as Executive Director of PowerGrid, Southern Region Transmission System-I (consisting of substations & projects in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and part of Karnataka).
Kumar is an Electrical Engineering Graduate from Roorkee University and started his professional carrier with NTPC as Executive Trainee in 1982, joined PowerGrid as Deputy Manager in 1992.
He has vast experience of more than 37 years and worked in all facets of power transmission system including transmission line construction, transmission line maintenance, distribution management, commercial, rural electrification, O&M and asset management of power transmission system and execution of power projects.
Prior to this appointment as Executive Director SRTS-I, he has served as Chief General Manger at North Eastern Region, Guwahati and at Eastern Region-I & II, Northern Region-I of PowerGrid.
