New Regional ED for NTPC South
Dr Pramod Prabhakar Kulkarni has taken over as the Regional Executive Director (South) of NTPC Limited.
Hyderabad: Dr Pramod Prabhakar Kulkarni has taken over as the Regional Executive Director (South) of NTPC Limited. He will continue to hold the additional charge as head of NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana project.
Prior to joining as Executive Director at Ramagundam, Dr P P Kulkarni was Chief Executive Officer of Aravali Power Company Pvt Ltd (JV of NTPC, IPGCL, HPGCL).
Dr Kulkarni, a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from MITS Gwalior, holds Masters' degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Finance and Master of Computer Application from IGNOU. He was awarded doctorate in management for his work on "Power Trading and Its Impact of Future Electricity Market in India" in 2018 from IGNOU.
He is an International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level D professional and CSI (USA) certified Level I vibration analyst. He joined NTPC Limited in 1982 as 7th Engineering Executive Trainee and was awarded the best executive trainee Gold Medal in recognition of his meritorious performance.
During past 37 years he worked in the various areas in NTPC which include acquisition of land, R&R, CSR, erection and commissioning, operation and maintenance of super critical power stations, consultancy for power project erection & commissioning.
