Hyderabad: City-based PublicVibe, a vernacular hyperlocal news platform, on Tuesday said it raised an undisclosed amount of investment, led by Indian Angel Network.

The round of investment also witnessed participation from Anthill Ventures, an investment and speed scaling platform and Hyderabad Angels.

IAN informed that their investors Bikky Khosla and Prashant Pahade will be joining the board of PublicVibe.

Launched in 2015, PublicVibe is an Artificial Intelligencebased platform.It provides hyperlocal to international news in vernacular languages.

The capital raised will be infused to scale the platform in one of the vernacular languages and to optimise its AI infrastructure for scaling up, the startup informed.

Narasimha Reddy, co-founder, PublicVibe, said: "We are grateful for the encouragement we have received from IANinvestors.

Their support will help us scale our operations and accomplish our mission."

Going ahead, PublicVibe plans to launch a hyperlocaladvertisement network in support of small businesses to connect with potentialconsumers in their neighbourhood.
