Gone are the days when Bollywood used to be considered a yardstick against which Indian movies would be measured. And of course the Hindi Khan-daan comprising Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir trio ruled the roost. Now, times are changing and moviemakers down south are delivering one hit after another not to mention the scale on which they are being made.

Baahubali, Saaho, Sarkar (Tamil) you will find innumerable examples to understand that the spending power of the filmmakers has gone up. This apart, the success rate of movies too are at an all-time high. Except for the fact that it didn't garner response on par with expectations, Prabhas's recent release Saaho, which was also a multilingual movie raked in decent collections at the box office in the initial days itself. Thanks to extensive promotions, Saaho collected enough moolah from advanced booking of tickets and premiere shows.

About Baahubali, we don't have to tell you that in the present days not only South movies but every Indian movie's collection is compared with the massive collections of the Rajamouli directorial.

The latest we hear is that even Salman and SRK are looking at south remakes to get the much needed break in their careers.

It's been a while since SRK was seen on the big screen. His last appearance was in Zero which was a box office dud. The king Khan is on a long break and of late he has been seen hanging out with Kollywood filmmakers, the likes of Atlee and Vetrimaaran sparking speculations of a possible Tamil movie.

So wait for the news. It looks like SRK will be next seen in not Hindi but a straight Tamil film.
