Bollywood newbie Saiee Manjrekar is all set to debut in Tollywood with Adivi Shesh starrer ‘Major’ movie.
Bollywood newbie Saiee Manjrekar is all set to debut in Tollywood with Adivi Shesh starrer 'Major' movie. This movie shows off the life story of NSG Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed his in 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks saving many lives of innocent people. Off late, Saiee spoke to media and recalled watching the news of 26/11 terrorist attacks and also said that she was a kid when this deadly incident happened.
"I was a child when the attacks took place back in 2008 and had watched the events unfold on TV. At that point, I couldn't understand what was happening and wondered what those blasts were and why were people screaming. I was really confused. It is only with this project that I have found out so much more about the attacks. I have a deep respect for Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan. I think his story needs to be told. He deserves this film and I will give it my all".
She added, "I didn't realise the coincidence but when the clock struck 12 at midnight, it dawned upon me that it was November 26. It was surreal to be there on the anniversary of the attacks!"
Speaking about Sandeep's father's reaction when he approached with the script, Adivi Shesh doled out "When I first called uncle, Mr Unnikrishnan, Major Sandeep's father, he didn't believe ki koi pichhle 10 saal se Major Sandeep ki zindagi pe research kar raha tha and wanted to tell a story inspired by his life. I don't think that uncle believed ka Hyderabad ka koi South Indian ladka jo US mein pala-badha hai, matlab waha se aakar koi film banana chah raha hai. He was very cynical infact."
'Major' movie is being directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and bankrolled by Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films India production house. Glam dolls Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar will play as the lead ladies in this biopic.
This movie is all about the life story of the Army Major Unni Krishnan who lost his life while fighting with terrorists on 26/11. Adivi Shesh will essay the role of Unni Krishnan to show off his life story on the big screens.
