Lady Superstar Nayanthara played the leading lady in this movie. The film has ended up its final run in the Telugu States with a distributor share of 10.50 Cr and a gross of more than 20 cr. The movie has now become a career highest grosser for Vijay. The theatricals of the film are valued for 10cr. So, 'Whistle' can be termed as a hit.
