Mega Supreme hero Sai Dharm Tej scored six flops on a row and his market came down drastically in all the areas including the USA. But with the positive talk to his recent film Chitralahari, there are hopes that he is going to make a successful comeback. The film completed a run of three days and made a distributor share of 7.75 crores in both the Telugu states.
On the other side, the film performed well in the opening weekend at the USA box office by collecting an amount of $240k (Rs 1.65 Cr). So far, this is the best from Sai Dharam Tej in his entire career. The buyers are happy with the figures and are hoping that the film is going to enter the profits zone soon.
Tipped to be a comedy and family entertainer, the film was directed by Kishore Tirumala. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj played the leads in the film.
