KGF Chapter 2 teaser garners 100 million views, sets record

KGF Chapter 2 teaser: The teaser of Sandalwood's much awaited film, KGF Chapter 2 was released on YouTube to an unprecedented response. Within a few hours of its release, it created a new world record with stunning visuals and action sequences sending netizens into a frenzy.

According to the reports from the film team, the teaser has become hugely popular and is breaking records. So far, it has clocked 100 plus million views and is still counting. The film industry observers attribute this tremendous response in less than 24 hours across the globe to the team's decision to release the teaser in English, aimed at pan-India audience.

The teaser with English voiceover is a masterstroke from the makers of KGF: Chapter 2. The KGF franchise has definitely broken language barriers in the country.

"Many South films are routinely dubbed in all Indian languages, and the addition of subtitles automatically broaden a film's appeal to a large audience. Many viewers are happy seeing films in their language.

The KGF is India's much awaited film, which is set for a pan-India release in five languages. The team has ingeniously planned their moves by unleashing a common teaser in English to capture the attention of the whole country and Indian diaspora across the globe. "It is good to see that the KGF franchise has proved that a filmmaker's imagination and talent can be bigger than any star or language barrier," says a popular Sandalwood producer. The makers of KGF franchise are confident that the movie would rewrite box-office history going by the success of the teaser which received 78 million plus views within 24 hours of its release. This includes 4.2 million plus likes, which is being reported as the best among the releases in South film industries. The likes tally with those of Vijay's 'Master', 'Sarkar' and 'Mersal' as well that of Baahubali director SS Rajamouli's upcoming 'RRR'.

Reacting to the success of the teaser, Yash, the lead actor whose birthday provided the right platform for the unveiling of the teaser, shared his views by saying "Your love for me has manifested as the best birthday for me today. Thank you, love you all"

Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 1 was released on December 21 two years ago. The Kannada film, made under the banner of Hombale Films, was the second film for Prashanth, after Ugramm. And it marked a pan-India presence after it was dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. It also went on to win two National Awards, now the team is ready with Chapter 2. The teaser has set the bar high for other movies to break. The film has music by Ravi Basrur. cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda. The film features Srinidhi Shetty in the female lead role, along with Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Anant Nag, Prakash Raj and Malavika Avinash in prominent roles.
