After Thalapathy Vijay, Santhanam Clarifies On Political Entry

A debate is going on in the Tamil film industry circles about the entry of Kollywood comedian and actor Santhanam into politics. It is not new to see Tamil actors entering politics as politics is almost an integral part of Kollywood.

We have seen the likes of great actors like MGR and Jayalalithaa enter politics. Already, we have seen Superstar Rajnikanth testing waters in politics by floating his own party with ideologies. However, he recently hinted that he might not contested the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections given his health condition.

Another Kollywood actor Kamal Haasan has already established a new political party and also stated that he will be getting into active politics soon before elections.

While Kollywood actor Vijay has not hidden his political ambitions from the public, he has not given any timeline as such for his political plunge. However, his father recently registered a new political party which has led to a rift between the father and son.

Now, the latest buzz is about Kollywood actor Santhanam's entry into politics. But Santhanam himself has clarified on this topic. "My entry into politics is just a rumour! It is so amusing that it is more amusing than my recent movie "Biskath". said the actor rubbishing these rumours.

This reaction was given by the actor in response to a question during the promotion of his Movie "Biskoth". However, the number of Tamil artists entering into politics is increasing day by day. Recently actress Kushbu who has been long associated with politics, joined BJP leaving Congress. Mohan Vaidya, Radha Ravi, R K Suresh are already active in politics.

But it is true that people who speculated that Santhanam would join politics are disappointed. Once upon a time Santhanam who was the most sought after comedy actor in Tamil later got promoted as a hero. Currently, he has a slew of movies in his kitty. The most striking aspect is that "Biskoth" is the first movie to get released in theatres after the lockdown lull.

Tara Alisha is the lead actress in this movie. Sahukar Janaki, Anand Raj, Aadukaalam Naren, and others are in the star cast. The movie is directed by R Kannan. We hear that this movie is being well received by the audience.
