He has had more than three decades experience in the Tamil film industry and had retained the title of a showman for a similar tenure now. Shankar, whose films have been known for its huge budgets, grandeur, star cast and gloss is now moving into the new normal phase, if Tamil media comments are any indication.
Having featured a variety of stars in his dozen - odd films beginning with 'Action King' Arjun in 1993 and moving on to a few films with Prabhu Deva, Vikram, Rajinikanth and a repeat venture with Kamal Haasan, Shankar has covered the circuit well and truly.
In a media interaction, which has gone viral on a popular Tamil magazine video channel, he is reported to have said he has no more story ideas for the stature of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, whose 'Indian 2' is stuck due to accidents and also the corona pandemic.
Shankar has admitted that he finds handling the top two titans of Tamil cinema overwhelming. It looks like he would move on to the next rung where the successors Vijay and Ajith are waiting, very soon.
