Mallu film on OTT faces protests

' Sufiyum Sujathayum' starring our own Hyderabad-born Aditi Rao Hydari and Jayasurya in the lead roles is the Malayalam film to be released directly on the OTT platform by Amazon Prime. It is being hailed as a sort of homecoming for Aditi who started her career in southern cinema with Mammootty in a Malayalam film ' Prajapathi' released in 2006.
It may have been an innovative move to make the film available for its viewers on a different platform but as expected the theatre circuit in Kerala is not amused with this move of the production unit. Reports say there have been protests and the banner has been warned it may not be able to release films in the movie halls in the future. A romantic thriller with lilting music and songs, the film is an attractive venture for its fans.
