Nandi Awards are recognized as the official state government awards of Andhra Pradesh. After the state bifurcation took place, the awards ceremony event did not take place properly. Although the government announced the list of winners for 2014, 2015 and 2016, the award distribution ceremony was not held.
Popular lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry has taken the initiation from the movie industry and tweeted about it to bring it to the notice of AP Chief Minister YS Jagan.
