Banjara Hills: The most twinkle inaugural ceremony of the 6th Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival was held at Prasad Labs on Friday. The festival was inaugurated by filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta along with south superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni at Prasad Labs Preview Theatre, Banjara Hills, in Hyderabad.

Actress Amla Akkineni; Partha Pratim Mallik, Director, Hyderbad Bengali Film Festival; Chandana Khan, former IAS Officer were also present on the dias along with other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Nagarjuna Akkineni expressed very much happiness that Annapurna Studio is associated with the festival as knowledge partner and hoped that children of Annapurna Film Akademi would get benifit from this tremendous knowledge.

While referring to his wife Amala and father-in-law, Nagarjuna said that the Bengali culture was very embedded in his life and he was enjoying the culture through them.

The film festival was organised by The Bengalis In Hyderabad, a not-for-profit cultural organisation, which is all set to present the sixth edition of the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival till July 21.

There are about 50 film personalities coming to the city to attend the event including Bengali cinema eminent actresses Swastika Mukherjee and Rituparno Sengupta. Keeping in view of 100 years of Bengali Cinema, the film festival will showcase several classics from Bengali Movie world.
