The movie is said to be based on real incidents and AR Murgadoss is said to have penned Rajini's role based on a real-life cop who is based out of Mumbai. Murugadoss has studied the character a lot and is said to have come up with this interesting plotline for Rajinikanth.
Nayanathara plays the leading lady in the movie. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is produced by Lyca Productions banner.
