We often see producers trying to arrange special benefit shows and extra shows if the movie is a big budget one. In that way, the producers can sell the tickets for high prices and within a less span of time, they can get more money. This year, special shows were arranged to few Sankranti releases.
Now, it is Superstar Mahesh babu's Maharshi which is the sole big summer release. The movie is made on a big budget by three producers and is all set to release on May 9th. Now, the producers are trying to get permission for the special shows as well as asking to increase the ticket prices to Rs. 200.
The request was placed to the governments of both the Telugu states and none of them have given permission yet. While it is quite easy to get permission in AP, Telangana government may not permit to arrange benefit shows due to security concerns. Anyways, we have to wait and see.
