It has also become the career-best opener for hero Ram as it collected a gross of more than Rs. 17 crores on its first day. On the flip side, Puri's guru Ram Gopal Varma is quite happy with his prodigy's success.
Ramu's was confident about the film's success right from the beginning and he has been promoting it even more after it became a success at the box office.

Immediately, Puri replied, "Sir already registered the title DOUBLE ISMART." Again Ramu replied saying that that's even better. anyways, it now clearly seems that Puri Jagannath will soon come up with the sequel of iSmart Shankar, called Double iSmart.
