In this exclusive chit chat with The Hans India, Aditya shares his views on the show, its concept, his love for music, learnings from his father and a lot more.

Aditya, there are many music shows on almost every channel. What makes LIV Shout Out stand out from others?

On this show, you can see many young signers singing those melodious songs from yesteryear films. Even those from Indian Idol are also part of it. The concept of the show is it to retain every essential bit of music. There will be no judges or voting, no filtering process, for a change. Singer will sing and take the audiences down their memory lanes. There are many forgotten songs which people don't remember anymore. We are going to bring all those songs back to life. Also, we will be sharing some trivia behind every song and film. Sound interesting, right?

What interested you in the show that you have decided to step into it as a host, and sing for it as well?

The concept is what I fell for. Felt very different. That music which my grandparents and parents used to listen to, is being brought back to the young generation now. Also, one might not have access to all these songs. For me too, this show is a change and I must admit that I have got to learn a lot of things through this show. There are some melodious songs which even I haven't heard earlier. Young musicians singing these songs is going to be more interesting. So please watch. And yes, even I have sung.

Are Udit Narayan's songs also part of it?

No. Not in the first season. The first season has 10 episodes and it has songs of the very first and legendary musicians of Hindi film industry. I hope my father's songs will be there in the second season.

As a singer, tell us about one quality that you have embraced from your father?

Uhhmmmm…. Sharing only one quality is difficult. But the one that I always follow is to keep my head always down and feel like a student every time you to record a song. My father had sung so many songs and till date, when he goes to the studio to record a song, he believes that he is still a student and a beginner. He tells me that only then, one can do better with each passing day. He always has the hunger to learn something or the other almost every day.

At a very young age, who have worked for composers like Illayaraja and AR Rahman. How do you feel about it?

It is definitely a blessing. Those are one of the greatest things that happened in my life. Getting a call from such legendary people where they ask me to come down to their studio to record a song…you know it is such a great experience. I always got to learn a lot from them.
