Globally, the month of June is celebrated as LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969 in the USA

Commvault, (a NASDAQ listed, information and data management company), has dedicated the month of June to celebrating the LGBTQ community around the globe, by hosting a number of events includinga packed seminar by Vinay Chandran from Swabhava Trust, an NGO providing support to the LGBT+ community.

The seminar emphasized the importance of diversity, being inclusive and building supportive working environments for all marginalized groups.

The company also celebrated Pride Monthby throwing a Pride Parade in its Hyderabad office and was the only international IT firm to organize such a celebration in the Hitech City sector.

Hitech City is a busy tech hub with thousands of employees working for globally recognized IT companies.

"Because the IT sector is the largest white-collar employer in Hyderabad, it is important that as a part of that, we continue to recognize and celebrate Pride Month in a socially responsible and inclusive way," said Anjan Kumar, Senior Manager for HR at Commvault, Hyderabad.

"IT companies have made Hyderabad, a fast-growing, economically self-sufficient city. For this development to continue it is up to Hyderabad to advance beyond its fame as a technological hub, and to move the dial so that it can become as a beacon of social inclusion for all the LGBTQ community across India too," said Anjan Kumar, Senior Manager for HR at Commvault, Hyderabad.
